The bulk of Cargo delivery is majorly done via sea around the globe. To Deliver Caargo through sea has become most economical viable way to deliver the cargo around the world. The current method of sending cargo is through large shipping containers. These cargo containers are specially designed for ships and come in international containers sizes. The ships which carry cargo goods are different from passenger ships. A cargo ship or freighter is a vessel or ship that carries goods, material and cargo from one port to another port. These ships keep more room for cargo containers and there is less people onboard, the people on board are sailors and are responsible for piloting the ship. They ensure that cargo gets delivered to destination.

Each year 1000s of Cargo ships ply the world's seas and oceans to deliver cargo on their destination, they handle the bulk of international trade. Cargo ships are specially manufactured and designed for the purpose of the cargo delivery and are equipped with cranes and other mechanisms to load and unload, and come in all sizes. The common sizes of shipping containers, which are in use are 20-ft (6.1 m), 40-ft (12.2 m), 45-ft (13.7 m), 48-ft (14.6 m), and 53-ft (16.2 m).

Today bulk of international trade is done through sea route. This is most common and cost effective way of delivering cargo worldwide. Out of the 90 percent of cargo shipment 26 percent of cargo shipment originates from China. Because of bulk load, cheap rates and efficient way of handling cargo, delivering cargo through sea route has become the most accepted way of handling cargo.

At seaport terminals you will find variety of marine cargo types docked for goods loading and unloading. These Marine cargo types come in different shape and sizes and are used for transporting goods from one port to another.

The two variations found in cargo ships are Container Ships and Tank Ships. The use of both cargo ships is different in nature. The Container ships are considered cargo ships which carry goods in containers. This is most common way of shipping goods through sea route. The size of container ships comes in 20ft or 40 ft and are best suited for packaged goods. These containers are loaded and unloaded at ports with the help of cranes. The cranes are installed at ports for loading and unloading the containers.

Another type for sea goods carrier is Tank Ship. A Tank ship is also reffered as tanker. Most commonly Tank ship is used for transporting oil, chemicals, crude oil, water, or natural gas to various ports around the world. Cargo Trailers come in different form. These box shaped trailers are equipped to move feed, livestock, automobiles, packed materials etc from one point to another. People use it for business, adventure and for personal use. Some of the trailers are also called as semi-trailers, because they are without front axle. During unloading stuff from semi-trailer trailer legs are used for stabilizing the balance of trailer.

The complete trailer has front axle and is attached to truck or tractor for pulling the weight.
